INLOCO TALKS is a one-day symposium dedicated to the field of urban art and its broader cultural impact. The 2023 edition focused on the pivotal role public art can play in enriching culture, strengthening communities, and advancing ESG (environmental, social, and governance) goals within urban environments.
Hosted in Dubai at the Al Safa Art and Design Library, INLOCO TALKS offered a dynamic day of talks, presentations, and conversations with artists, urbanists, and cultural practitioners. The program explored the theme of city-scaping in the Gulf region, reflecting on the evolving identities of GCC cities while questioning how public art can address environmental concerns and contribute to sustainable urban futures.
The symposium is part of the broader work of Inloco Initiative, a platform that has supported, explored, and developed urban art since 2017. This includes Inloco Gallery and Nuvo Buro Group, which operate at the intersection of public art, urban planning, and cultural research.
