Revealing the hidden artistic potential of urban space.
Fruits is a street art collective founded in 2009 in Perm. They specialize in street art, urban interventions, and the exploration of the environment. In Perm, the team has created dozens of works of varying scale, complexity, and concept, all distinguished by their rich content and minimalist execution.
The main theme that runs through all of the collective's works is their close interaction with the urban environment, the discovery of hidden and unexpected possibilities within public space, and the unveiling of its potential. Fruits work with a variety of materials and techniques, including stencils, posters, and even ice.
The artists faced the complex task of exploring the Morion Digital Technopark location from different angles and focal lengths to uncover its artistic potential and alter the perception of familiar urban objects. The team first discovered a niche that, in its scale and proportions, resembled a football goal. This inspired the idea to create a stencil of a goalkeeper — a figure symbolizing the last line of defense and reliability, upon which the success of the entire team often depends.
The artwork combines themes of protection and stability, emphasizing the importance of security in financial matters. The metaphor of "protection" also evokes associations with the reliability and responsibility of the bank towards its clients.
Nearby, close to the "goal," Fruits noticed a small brick booth with a metal door, whose shape reminded the artists of a yellow card. A stencil of a hand complements the image of "The Defender", making its meaning more accessible to the viewer.

Process
Art form: urban intervention Style: realism Material: paper, spray paint
The most time-consuming stage of the work is creating a detailed stencil layout. Each layer must align perfectly with the others, which takes significantly more time than applying the image to the wall itself.
Once the preparatory stage was completed, the team marked the spots for placing the images around the Technopark and began creating the works using stencil techniques.

The cherry on top — or the cornerstone, if you prefer — of this football triangle was a ball made from an anti-parking concrete hemisphere. It’s an unofficial part of the project — an intervention within an intervention, so to speak.

Fruits is both an individual and a collective that emerged in 2009 in Perm. The group describes their greatest strength in art as versatility: they do not limit themselves to specific materials, tools, or techniques. A distinctive feature of their work is that it is the urban context that defines the content of their new projects — not the other way around.
