«Industry Garden» is a public space on the territory of the local heating station area (APTS No2). It consists of a BMX-park, a walking area, a city garden and public art objects.

  • 8000-sq.m. boiler house premises used to be a wasteland surrounded by barbed wire and a fence.

  • In 2017 and 2018, large-scale murals by artists Artem Stefanov and Kirill Kreal appeared on the reservoirs and walls of the industrial enterprise.

  • In 2019 and 2020, Victor Polyakov’s media sculpture Solar Facula with an observation deck and laser installation Nokta by the S E T A P studio were mounted on the premises.

  • In 2021, industrial pipes turned into public art objects, and the entire site was transformed into an Industry Garden with a skate park and a city garden, the plants for which were collected during a special botanical expedition.

The project’s concept was developed on the basis of research and surveys of residents of the region. It became a joint effort of the local rider community, experts in architecture, landscape design, and public art, as well as skate park construction engineers.
